Our Settling-In Process
As part of our introduction to nursery life, we have developed a carefully curated and personalised settling-in structure to ensure every child feels safe, happy, and supported during their transition.
-
Nursery Visit: Once a place becomes available, parents and their child are invited to visit the nursery, explore the environment, and meet our team.
-
Home Visit: After securing a place through payment of the deposit and registration fee, a key teacher is allocated to your child. This teacher will visit your home to build a bond with both the child and their parents or guardians, and to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s routines and interests.
-
Settling-In Sessions:
-
First Session: A 35–45 minute familiarisation session within the nursery environment, with a parent or guardian present.
-
Second Session: A slightly longer session of up to one hour, allowing the child to explore further with parental support.
-
Third Session: If the child feels comfortable, we encourage parents to leave their child for a short period, gradually helping them settle independently.
-
This structured approach ensures that each child’s introduction to nursery is positive, smooth, and tailored to their individual needs, fostering confidence, security, and enjoyment from the very first day.
